Reflecting on God’s Word . . .

Amazing things . . .

Psalm 126:1-6 NLT

[1] When the LORD brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream!

[2] We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the LORD has done for them.”

[3] Yes, the LORD has done amazing things for us! What joy!

[4] Restore our fortunes, LORD, as streams renew the desert.

[5] Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.

[6] They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

Reflection . . .

What amazing thing has God done for us?

He has done the impossible! He has given us salvation in Jesus Christ!

1 Timothy 1:15-17 NLT
This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life. All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.

Take a few moments to listen to the video message/song below. It helps us focus on what God has done for us in Jesus Christ and that what we have by our own merits is not worthy of making us right before God. Only His sacrifice is adequate for forgiveness and salvation. When we focus on that, what God has done for us in Christ Jesus, then, we sing as those returning from the harvest.
