Reflecting on God’s Word . . .

My Refuge and Strength

Psalm 91:1-2,14-16 NLT

[1] Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

[2] This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.

[14] The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.

[15] When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.

[16] I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”

Reflection . . .

During this Lent season our focus in prayer is on God’s great ability to care for us. He is so loving and compassionate that He desires to rescue us from whatever we are facing, but more importantly, that we find our rest and refuge in Him alone.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High . . .

  • Will find rest
  • Have a place of safety
  • Find rescue
  • Are protected
  • Will receive an answer
  • Have great reward

The key is for us to make Him our Refuge and Shelter. We must go to Him quickly and often. It’s sad that we so quickly forget and go to other things and other people for what God alone can provide in perfect timing and supply. Take a few moments to reflect on the list above and listen to the video.
