Reflecting on God’s Word …

He will keep you strong

1 Corinthians 1:4-9 NLT

I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus. Through him, God has enriched your church in every way-with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge. This confirms that what I told you about Christ is true. Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns.

God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Reflection

God will keep us strong! He has given us everything we need to be strong and He will strengthen us along the way. That’s great news and we can know that God is faithful! We are in partnership with Jesus Christ which is the guarantee that God will be faithful in keeping us strong. We are God’s children through Jesus Christ!

The knowledge that we are never alone calms the troubled sea of our lives and speaks peace to our souls.

A. W. Tozer (1897–1963)

The journey may be difficult at times or at many times, but we are not alone. We may face all kinds of trials, tragedies and even experience what may feel like complete ruin, but God is faithful to see us through all of it! We can take comfort from this Psalm:

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?

My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand.

The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.

The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Psalm 121:1-8 ESV
