Reflecting on God’s Word …

He came to His own …

John 1:10-14 NLT

He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him.

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn-not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

Reflection

Jesus Christ being God came into His own creation. No other religion or faith system is about God reaching out to save and rescue its own creation. Every other faith system, religion and thinking is humanity’s attempt at reaching God or finding a way to deal with the human condition. What is the human condition?

Humanity is separated from God by sin. There are many philosophies to say otherwise, but sin is the problem! Sin keeps us from believing in Jesus Christ (John 16:9), but those who believe and accept that Jesus is who He says He is are given the right to be part of His family — children of God! Letting that faith change you is the beginning of seeing God’s glory!

If you want to see God’s glory, you’ve got to believe and let Him transform your life!
