Reflecting on God’s Word . . .

Whoever finds me . . .

Proverbs 8:32-36 NLT

[32] “And so, my children, listen to me, for all who follow my ways are joyful.

[33] Listen to my instruction and be wise. Don’t ignore it.

[34] Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home!

[35] For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the LORD.

[36] But those who miss me injure themselves. All who hate me love death.”

Reflection . . .

We search for many things in this life, but the one thing more important than any other is finding the Lord. To find the Lord is to find life and the favor of the Lord. It’s something that cannot adequately be described with words, it has to be experienced.

To find the Lord is to believe in Him. But the world refuses to believe in Him and that is the problem — sin!

The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me

John 16:9 NLT

When re recognize that our problem is sin then believing is not difficult at all …

it’s a gift!

Today and every day — let’s once again believe with renewed passion! Let’s offer whatever it is we are facing in these moments to the Lord believing that He will work it all out for our good and for His glory.

Emmanuel, God with us, God in us, God for us!
