Reflecting on God’s Word . . .

Psalm 63:1-5 NLT

[1] O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.

[2] I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory.

[3] Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you!

[4] I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.

[5] You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.

Reflection . . .

How much do we long for, thirst for God in every aspect and moment of our lives?

It starts with the acknowledgement that God is our God.

He is with us, He is for us and He dwells within us. Jesus Christ is Emmanuel, God with us. We believe in Him and receive a new life in Him.

What does it mean to earnestly seek Him?

It means that we find satisfaction in the things of God — God’s Word, Serving Him, Talking about Him, Sharing the Good News of the Gospel with others, Prayer, and thinking on the things of God.
