Reflecting on God’s Word . . .

Hebrews 3:12-15 NLT

[12] Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.

[13] You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.

[14] For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

[15] Remember what it says:

“Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.”

Reflection . . .

Sin easily deceives! Sin gets us into trouble and takes our focus off of the Lord!

We must warn each other, encourage each other to keep our eyes on the Lord and what He desires for us. The goal is to be faithful to the end! Our goal is to be like Christ and to one day stand in the presence of the Lord face to face in all His glory!

We live here on earth though and we have daily struggles.

We sin, we forget, we fail.

The encouragement is to . . . “Remember!” It says, “when you hear his voice.” Not, “if you hear his voice.” It’s a sure thing that we will hear what the Lord is saying to us, we just need to be paying attention, listening to His Word, and to what He is saying through others. It involves humility and and a willingness to listen!

The song in the video below is really a prayer you can sing/pray to the Lord. Listen and pray along with the words!
