Reflecting on God’s Word . . .

Hebrews 1:1-4 NLT

[1] Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets.

[2] And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.

[3] The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.

[4] This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.

Reflection . . .

Jesus is Supreme!

Jesus, God’s Son radiates the glory of God! He sustains everything by the power of his command. Now that is strong power. It’s worth taking note that Jesus is not just another human being full of philosophical ideas and ideals that no one can really live up to. Jesus is God and has the power to forgive sins, change people who can in turn give glory to God!

Jesus is far greater than all human beings, all angels, all spirits, and has been given authority and power.

Who do you say Jesus is?

If Jesus is not God, then what about all the evidence showing that throughout all history, there has been none like Him? Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God, Saviour of the World?

What is He calling you to?

Take a few minutes to listen to this song and ask yourself if you truly believe Jesus is “Almighty”. Or, perhaps you just need to be reminded afresh of just how great He really is!
