Reflecting on God’s Word …

Psalm 78:23-29 NLT
[23] But he commanded the skies to open; he opened the doors of heaven. [24] He rained down manna for them to eat; he gave them bread from heaven. [25] They ate the food of angels! God gave them all they could hold. [26] He released the east wind in the heavens and guided the south wind by his mighty power. [27] He rained down meat as thick as dust- birds as plentiful as the sand on the seashore! [28] He caused the birds to fall within their camp and all around their tents. [29] The people ate their fill. He gave them what they craved.

Reflection

Israel’s history is recounted here focusing on God’s great provision for them. Remembering God’s provision for us is an important part of our worship and daily life. It helps keep our focus on him and off ourselves. It’s the very thing they failed to do and it got them into big trouble!

Are you making a habit out of recounting God’s great provision?

Are you regularly giving Him thanks?

Are you taking time out to give praise and worship to God for who He is and all that He has done?

Psalm 103:1-5 NLT
[1] Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. [2] Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. [3] He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. [4] He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. [5] He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
