Reflecting on God’s Word . . .

Psalm 149:1-5 NLT

[1] Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful.

[2] O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King.

[3] Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp.

[4] For the LORD delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.

[5] Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them. Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds.

Reflection . . .

Are we exulting in our Lord, the King?

Are we praising His name with our whole beings?

Are we humbling ourselves before Him?

Are we rejoicing in the fact that the Lord honors us, His people? Do we just long to spend time in His presence? Do our whole beings proclaim, “Glory! Hallelujah!”?

Giving praise and honour, rejoicing in the Lord is an amazing activity! It helps us in so many ways to get our minds off of ourselves and onto the Lord, His goodness and greatness!

Take a few moments to give glory and honour to the Lord!
