Reflecting on God’s Word . . .

Revelation 7:9-12 NLT
After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar,

“Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”

And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God. They sang,

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

Reflection . . .

This passage from Revelation 7 is one of the most famous from the book. It points us to the praise and glory of Jesus Christ the Lamb of God. He who takes away the sin of the world! Salvation belongs to God and to Jesus Christ!

Many Bibical experts wonder if we’ll be forever worshipping God as described above or if we’ll have work and tasks to do before the Lord. What’s important for us to understand here from this passage is the posture that we his worshippers will take for eternity — in the presence of God declaring His praise and honour!
