Reflecting on God’s Word . . .

True worship comes from the heart.

Mark 11:15-17 NLT
When they arrived back in Jerusalem, Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out the people buying and selling animals for sacrifices. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves, and he stopped everyone from using the Temple as a marketplace. He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.”

Reflection . . .

What has the Temple, the House of the Lord, the Church become? Is it a place of prayer for the world? Is it a place of authentic heartfelt worship? Or, has it become like those in the Temple of Jesus day, full of all kinds of things to capture (rob) the attention of people and put it on anything but the worship of God and reaching the nations for His glory?

Anything in the church or however we gather to worship that takes our attention away from God’s primary purpose for reaching the nations through prayer, robs us of the opportunity to be involved in what God wants to do in the world!

An annoymous pondering!
